Mid Month Inspiration for Just For Fun blog

Happy Monday folks,
I have had a nightmare with blogger over the last few days so I apologise that I am late with this post.
I am here to share with you my DT card for the Just For Fun Challenge Blog. This month the theme is ANYTHING GOES so we want to see all your creations no matter what they are.
There is some great projects on the blog so do pop over and leave some love for the other DTs.
Anyway onto what Ive made, my friend has just given birth to a little girl so i wanted to make a extra special card for her and this is what I came up with

I decided I wanted a box rather than an envelop for the card to go in so that I could pop in the little outfit I had bought for her. I wrapped it all in tissue paper to make it that little bit more special.

Supplies:
Centura pearl card stock for the box
Pink Gem designs baby decoupage and backing papers
Xcut francy frame die set
ribbon and embellies from my stash

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your creations over on the blog

Christmas Fun - Baubles and Bows

Good Morning again Bloggers,
I am here again this morning with a new challenge over at Christmas Fun challenge blog. The challenge this fortnight is Anything Goes or Baubles and Bows.

We have some fab DT cards over on the blog so do pop over and have a look through but here is my card.
I have used the spellbinders stamp set but as I dont have the matching die I just cut them out myself.
I stamped them in versmark onto vellum and then heat embossed them with white embossing powder, I love how they turned out. I have used Do Crafts bakers twine to give the impression the baubles are hanging and then just tied them off in a bow. I inked the background all over lightly then used some blending foam and tried to create a bauble shape by inking the corners darker. This is a technique I havent tried before but think I will give it another go as i enjoyed creating my own background.

Seemacrafts - 'Something for Mum' challenge

Good Morning bloggers, and happy 1st of the month.
Today see's a new challenge start over on the Seemacrafts challenge blog where we would like to see your projects 'For Mum'. There are a couple of prizes this month. Seema is entering into the world of Digi's so has offered 2 runners up 2 digis from her site Seemacrafts.
Her neice also has a fab site where she sells her Wood Shapes and she has kindly donated a prize aswell. Do pop over and take alook at these 2 fab ladies creations.
As you are aware it is Mother's Day here in the UK at the end of this month so I decided to make a set for my sister off of her 2 children.

I wanted to make something extra special and something my Sister would be able to keep so I decided to make a decorated candle and card gift set for her.

Please be aware there is lots of pictures lol

I used a Tatty Ted image from the Do Crafts Spring Chic Cd rom for both the candle and the decoupage for the card. I also used my Crafters Companion sweet treats board to create the milk carton box.

This is just a small 6x6 card

I printed the image onto white tissue paper and then used my heat tool to melt it onto the candle. (I found this technique on Youtube)
I used the Do Crafts digital designer software to add the sentiment to the image before printing

As my candle is a medium size (approx 5in) I had to make a slight amendment to the measurements when tracing from the sweet treats board as the large milk carton was too big and the smaller size was too small. I just made the box shorter so that the candle fitted in perfectly. The bow is made from the bow templates off the sweet treats cd. I cut an aperture from the front and added in some acertate so that it became a presentation box.

The papers are printed from the Tatty Ted cd and co'ordinate with the papers used on the card.

Extra Supplies include; CC boxer board to create the pin wheel, coloured inks, buttons and bling from my stash and centura pearl card for the milk carton base
